got a problem. i cant connect to any ET server caus of this message of the console:

I have no idea what that file pak0 is, but you can try deleting it and hope that server will dl it for you... or ofc put it back manually. BUT, I don't know risks that might be attached to it, as it is not a map file...

pak0.pk3 it's a pack that contains the base data for the game (textures, animations, base cfg, etc), maybe it has been corrupted or something else. So the best and fastest would be to reinstall the game.

If this doesn't work, can you put your cfg somewhere so we try to start our game with it ? Maybe there is a setting that breaks something.

Well... U can try this what Remmog said but also u can try delete pak0 file and change it on new... But dunno it would help ^^

The file is probably corrupted.

Solution: reinstall ET.

Before you do anything else, you could just try this... Very fast.
If you use Vista, right-click the ET shortcut, then click properties, then click compability, and check the "Run as administrator" box.

If XP, go to your game folder (default location in C:\ Program Files) and open the Etmain folder. Delete some unused .pk3 files you dont need anymore, maps etc. But dont delete any file you dont know what it is. And dont delete pak0.pk3 file.
I had this same error once and deleting some old maps fixed it for me. It doesnt matter what files you delete (theres no corrupted files or so), theres just too many of them.

Are you sure you did it right? Running as administrator has helped everytime i have seen this error with Vista... :/
If deleteting some old .pk3 files doesnt help either, i got no idea whats wrong. You could try updating punkbuster or reinstalling, i rly dont know xD

you can also install et on a other path, and copie the pako.pk3 to your old et version.
then it could work again also .
